All my career long I have been working at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (Paris);  I have spent much time in the collections of  "Fishes"  (see page). I have worked as an alpha-systematist (see page) on one of the orders of Acanthomorpha : the Pleuronectiformes (better known as flatfishes) and especially on the species belonging to the soleid family.

Identifying "fishes" sampled by different oceanographic campaigns is one of my main activities. Before reconstructing trees, the identification of specimens using available keys is a fundamental step. I mainly work on morphology (see page) of "fishes" .
